Design Project-Day 3

TO DO DAY 3

1. The game matches the group that we have planned it to be for because of how simple and easy it is to play the game and conduct it myself. The game gives points and also gives tickets because of how they are needed in order for the kids to earn prizes that they can receive by catching tickets that fall from above which have certain numbers on them which define how many points that the kids can obtain. Also, the tickets have negative numbers with positive numbers which makes it more challenging for the kids to obtain certain scores to get prizes that they need. Overall, I believe that the idea is being very well made, and will be a big hit towards the kids that will play it.

2. Some powerful ideas in the model that we want to keep is the sliding holder that holds the two flaps together that will release the tickets. Also, we want to keep the numbers tickets that contain positive and negative numbers so it can be more exciting for the students. Another aspect we want to keep about the model is how the model is looking physically because the model should be adjusted to the height and size of the children so it won't be uncomfortable for anyone that uses it. The tray idea on the bottom can also be kept since it makes it efficient to remove the tickets from the bottom to place them back on the top, above the flaps. In conclusion, all the aspects of the model could be kept, but the final product should just be longer.

3. Factors that we can remove to simplify the game are nothing. The game is very simple and the model has the aspects of a game that is needed for efficiency and simplicity.

Building Plan:

1. In order to build the actual model, we must go through these steps.

  •  Cut up the large cardboard and separate them into 3 sides so they can be folded into a box with a missing side.
  • Cut up another cardboard so that the floor can be covered for a tray to be placed.
  • Cut a piece of cardboard and cut it in half to be made into the flaps for the tickets to fall through.
  • Cut two pieces that look like rectangles and make a stick to hold the flaps together.
Sam does the cutting, and Yootaek does the folding, and Jeffrey makes the balls.

2. Bucket - Sam
